IEP Progress 2013
Oglala Lakota College’s IEP process mobilizes the unit curricular and co-curricular assessment plans and the strategies for recruitment, retention, persistence, and completion. The IEP also provides for planning, tracking progress, reporting results, and providing recommendations for improvement within the curriculum, the programs, and to assist with professional development for faculty and staff. OLC completed one full year of utilizing student learning outcome data at the academic unit level. The 2012-2013 retro yearly action strategies assisted departments with establishing yearly action strategies during the 2013-2014 academic year. The student learning outcome assessment results of the 2013-2014 academic year informed the 2013-2014 yearly action strategies and so on.
OLC’s progress in implementing the IEP 2013-2015 model demonstrates the process for using assessment data to inform modifications to curriculum, programing, advising, and other program processes at the unit level. Academic and non-academic units (District College Centers) will finalize the 2015-2016 IEP’s by September of 2015.
