The meeting was called to order by Cliff DeLong at 10:42

The prayer given by Cliff.

The quorum was set at 8.

Paul Cedar Face moved and it was seconded to approve the minutes as submitted for November as submitted by Sandy White Shield.

Policy Review committee. Sandy White Shield reported that there will be a meeting with Brett Bump later today to discuss an improved method of editing the policy.

Bill Elliot will change his activity on the Insurance sub-committee.  Paul Cedar Face will take over the chair for this committee.  Bill will be doing research for the Moodel site.  He will be researching doing survey’s for the staff, HSA’s, etc. In his opinion Bill states that it is not a good idea for the College to be switching health companies all the time.  Also self-funding is a viable concept that we should research more.  He does not believe that Head Start is involved in the insurance yet.  If and when they do become involved it will change what our current participation rate is.  Open communication on this committee has been a goal of Bills chairmanship and he hopes that this will continue.  Though he is not here today Jerry Lessert expressed that he would like to be on the insurance sub-committee.  Chair recognizes and gives Bill thanks for his service.  Paul Cedar Face is appointed as chair.  Chris Janis, the benefits manager will serve on the insurance subcommittee as well.  Paul accepts the appointment.

In reporting for the technology committee, Cliff told us that all enrolled students are on Moodle.  Title 3 laptop accusation is over and computers are to the instructors.  Blackboard will continue thru this next semester.  The server for this will become the college website server.  Strategic planning is ongoing.  A budget has been set for administrative computing. LCD Projectors are available for checkout to be used by the instructors in every center.  The bookstore carries Lexar jump drives for students.  We have over 1100 students, FTE (full time equivalency).

There is a meeting today with the vice-pres regarding completely on-line degree courses.  Crst web site.  A discussion followed delineating both pros and cons for putting degrees on line.

Milton left the meeting.

Paul moved to adjourn and seconded by Adel.  Meeting over at 11:46

Respectfully submitted by

Sandy White Shield, recording secretary.
