1. Meeting called to order at 10:08 a.m.

3. Old Business – Second Readings

a. AAS changes – Doug Noyes presented changes for the Applied Science department. An amendment was made to add a name or title to the four basic Auto courses (Change 2) in order to clarify the content covered in each course. New titles: Auto 101-Electical/Electronics, Auto 102-Brakes, Auto 201-Engine Performance, Auto 202-Steering and Suspension. An amendment to Change 9 requires Carpentry 203 be changed to Carpentry 223.

c. Humanities changes – Kim Bettelyoun presented changes for the humanities department for second reading. An amendment was made to the motion stating that English 113 will be listed as a prerequisite for the new course English 343.

b. Strategic Plan Committee-

Tony Fresquez reported that their committee voted to dissolve their subcommittee because a strategic plan task force has been activated by the vice-president and most of their committee sits on the task force.

5. A motion was made to approve the Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies. An amendment was made to change the wording in the core by adding the word elective to follow Humanities and Social Science.
