About Foundational Studies
Foundational Studies offers math, reading and writing to students who need some brushing up before tackling college level courses. Our faculty works with Student Support Services, Tutors, Center Directors and Counselors to make sure students receive the guidance and assistance they need when they need it.

The Foundational Studies Faculty
Tom Raymond
Tom became the Director of Foundational Studies in the Fall of 08. He brings his vast experience as an educator to the department and to the first year students of OLC.

Jamie is a writer, a gardener, and a grandmother who loves working with students and seeing them succeed. She has a M.A. in Human Development and has worked at OLC since 2005 as a Basic English Instructor.

Grady Brunsch
Grady has an old fashioned work ethic and believes all people are life-long learners but that we must have committment and self-motivation. Grady is a committed family man, a rancher and teacher. He has a BS in Elementary Education and in 2007 he became an Foundational Studies Instructor in Basic Math and English.

Thedna Zimiga
Thedna teaches Basic Math and is known at many centers as the queen of math. Student know to go to her whenever they need help or tutoring.

Lynnea Bouhenguel
Lynnea has her M.S, Ed., specializing
in Montessori. She is a language arts and science teacher with a great love
of muliticultural education and Natural Human Learning Process.
Lynnea is also a natural childbirth
and parenting instructor. She joined
the faculty of Foundational Studies
in the fall of 08.
