Masters Degree in Lakota Leadership and Management

The following are required for admission to the Graduate Department

  1. A Bachelor degree from a Regionally Accredited Institution.
  2. A 2.5 GPA with 3.0 in major field.
  3. Completion of LakM 513, 533 & 603 prior to admission to degree area of study.
  4. Must have a 3.0 GPA in all undergraduate Language Arts course work.
  5. Official admittance to Graduate course of study emphasis 30 days following completion of nine (9) hours (application).
  6. Have and maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher for area of graduate study.

Requirements for Educational Administration Emphasis Admission

  1. Requirements for the Elementary Principal:
    1. A bachelor's degree from a college or university approved for teacher education;
    2. Four years of teaching experience at the elementary level on an elementary teacher endorsement or another endorsement which includes the elementary grades;
    3. The completion of an approved program for elementary teachers at an accredited college or university.
  2. Requirements for the Secondary Principal
    1. A bachelor's degree from a college or university approved for teacher education;
    2. Four years of teaching experience at the secondary level on a secondary teacher endorsement or another endorsement, which includes the secondary grades;
    3. The completion of an approved program for secondary teachers at an accredited college or university.
  3. A 2.5 GPA with 3.0 in major field.
