64-360 06-25-09 Disability Leave An employee can request disability leave up to six months that coincides with the College's short term disability insurance. In order to obtain the disability leave, the employee must submit a doctor?s statement that the employee needs to be off work for the period of the illness. The period of disability leave will not count towards the employee?s total years of work experience at Oglala Lakota College. Employees on disability leave are guaranteed the same position on returning to Oglala Lakota College.
