TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS (POLICY) AND (PROCEDURE)
Any student requiring a transcript must request it from the Registrar. Any student requesting a transcript
from the Registrar needs a complete file (High School Diploma, GED Certificate, Degree of Indian Blood, no
outstanding bills to OLC). Any student that requests a transcript from the Registrar's Office will receive
the first copy free, and additional copies will cost $2.00. The request must be written and signed if the
students does not come to the Registrar's Office.
Students owing Bills
Any student owing unpaid bills to college shall not be issued a college transcript or grade reports.
In the event that a person applies for a position at Oglala Lakota College and owes money to the college,
transcripts will be released to the search and screen committee once a written request has been made by the
applicant to the registrar's office and the search and screen committee indicating that if accepted for the
position, they will accept a conditional contract to pay their college bill through payroll deduction.
In the event that a person applies for a position outside Oglala Lakota College or is applying to another
institution for admission and owes money to the college, transcripts will be released once a written request
has been made by the applicant to the registrar's office indicating that if accepted for the position, they
will accept a conditional contract with their new employer to pay their college bill through payroll
reduction. In addition, a letter must be received from the potential employer agreeing to participate
in the payroll deduction.
