Highlights

Jason Tinant teaches the earth science portion of the environmental science program. Specifically, Tinant is interested in surface and ground water quality, fluvial morphology, and the environmental impacts of changes in land use.

Sewage Lagoon
Researching the potential impacts of sewage lagoons on water quality and in the summer.

Service Learning Project
Environmental geology class to examines erosion rates at the proposed site of the Lakota Heritage Center near Red Shirt Table.

Winter Bird Survey
Annual winter bird survey at Skyline Open Area in Rapid City to observe changes in the bird population as Rapid City continues to grow.
