PHPdir is the result of a need to move my company away from printing and distributing a
paper phone list to all employees. I had originally implemented a CGI application
that worked ok, but wouldn't allow entries to be edited, you would have to delete
and re-enter to make changes. I figured I could learn PHP faster than Perl, so I
started this project.
I used a combination of tools to build this application: Dreamweaver for building the HMTL structure of the pages, EditPlus for the nitty gritty coding (vi when I needed to make quick changes on the server), MySQLFront, phpMyAdmin and Webmin for the database work and Fireworks for the buttons.
