Terri Bissonette is a member of the Waishkey Band of Anishinabe Tribe and Little Traverse Bay Tribe of Odawa in Michigan. She grew up in Denver, Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Ethnic Studies. Terri obtained her Master of Arts degree from Lesley University in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy. Her area of research and interest focused on phonemic and phonological awareness and acquisition.
