WKCC LOCAL BOARD

The Wounded Knee College Center has a Local Board which consists of members of the Wounded Knee District to serve staggered terms on the board.
The district college centers have delegated authority from the Board of Trustees as their actions pertain to the district college center.
There are nine (9) district college center boards: Eagle Nest; East Wakpamni; LaCreek; Pass Creek; Pejuta Haka; Pine Ridge; White Clay; and Wounded Knee.
Each of these centers make programmatic and personnel recommendations to the Board of Trustees. Local Board approves of community and other activities for their respective district.
Each Local board has a student representative from the WKCC Student body; each local board has a Board of Trustee and they are the main governing board for Oglala Lakota College. 
Each center works diligently to promote community partnerships thus enhancing Wolakolkiciyapi ~ 'Learning Lakota ways of life in the community".
The WKCC Local Board Members for the 2008-09 school years are:
Rosalie Janis; S. Ramona White Plume; Thomas Harvey; Student Representative Anna Respects Nothing and Board of Trustee John Her Many Horses.
