What is foundational studies?  Foundational Studies is the program designed to mentor students and assist them into their higher educational goals through providing assistance through Basic English 083, 093, Math 083 and 093, College Success and incoming new student preparedness.

We also help with test preparedness, through the use of the AccuPlacer, a version of the SAT, which all incoming students take who are not transferring in with Math and English credits.

We provide refreshers in English, Math and incoming student survival gear through the use of College Success which is a requirement of all incoming students with less than 24 successful college credits.

Also transfer students will get a briefing on specific OGLALA LAKOTA PROCEDURES and tools, such as Jenzabar, the student online platform, ILOHA, the student email service, scholarship availability, library access and any other items that the student may need to be successful.

Working closely with center staff and counselors, all incoming students involved in these class offerings are our advisees.  Please contact us for help, in your entry to college.

Foundational Studies is here to help you, the incoming student be as successful as can be, together.
