The following research and portfolio seminars are scheduled for participants in the Itancan Akta Owayawa Cohort of Education Administrators. The research seminar is open to the Lakota Leadership and Management non grant students who are interested in getting a head start on their SCAP/CAP projects or for the 2010-2011 academic year. The purpose of the portfolios is to introduce E-Folios to begin the electronic portfolio assessment for the education administration candidates.  Graduate Research and portfolio seminar June 3- 4, 2010 located at the Pejuta Haka College Center. June 3, 2010, from 3-6pm. June 4, 2010 from 9- 3pm.  Graduate Research and portfolio seminar June 9- 10, 2010 located in Mobridge, SD. June 9, 2010, from 3-6pm. June 10, 2010 from 9- 3pm.  We would also like to announce that we have room for 2 more candidates interested in becoming an elementary or secondary principal. You must have graduated from a teacher preparation program from an accredited college in elementary or secondary education, must be certified as an elementary or secondary teacher, and must have three years teaching experienced under a teaching certificate, certified as an elementary or secondary teacher.

6th Annual Belt-Two Bulls Ride.  The family of Ambrose Belt, Sr. & Elizabeth Two Bulls-Belt welcome all riders, extended family & friends to join them in honoring these two who loved and respected horses by participating in this ride.  Saturday, May 29, 2010, Little Grass Creek to Oglala.  Starting Point: Belt Residence – Little Grass Creek Road, NE of Oglala (6 mi. from gate).
