Oglala Lakota College realized in 2004 that we needed to show to the tribes and  the public in South Dakota what was happening here in the Lakota land we live on.  Through the gracious support of the “Golden West Cable Network” it became a reality. What you see on our television station and online podcasts are not from Hollywood. It is the real lives and stories of the Lakota people.


KOLC-TV is being managed by Tony Brave who has been with the college for over 20 years. He is presently being helped by a few Interns. They go all over Indian territory videotaping cultural events, environmental topics, sports, and academic classes from OLC.  Though our video library is not as vast as network television, it is steadily growing.
