SUMMARY:1st Cares Disbursement
DESCRIPTION:Oglala Lakota College will once again be disbursing Cares Funds this semester this Fall 2023 semester.  Please see the attached flyer for eligibility criteria and disbursement dates.  Below you will find amounts listed to be paid per disbursement, based on hours.  


Also, the 1st Cares Disbursement will be based on meeting the initial qualifying criteria.  The 2nd and 3rd Cares Disbursements are based on the initial qualifying criteria, but are also grade based. You will only receive payment for courses passed with a mid-term passing, and final passing grade of "D" or better, or "P."  Please review the attached flyer for additional eligibility criteria. 

After all Mid-term and Final Grades have been posted there will be no retro pay on grades changed after the initial deadline for grade posting, which is set by the Registrar Department. 


All qualifying students will be paid as follows per disbursement, based on hours and other criteria set forth:  (See attached flyer)

3-5 hrs:    $250/per disbursement
6-8 hrs :   $500/per disbursement
9-11 hrs:  $750/per disbursement
12+hrs:    $1,000/per disbursement


Qualifying Graduate students will be paid as follows per disbursement, based on hours and other criteria set forth:  (See attached flyer): 

3-5 hrs:  $500/per disbursement6+ hrs:   $1,000/per disbursement

*** Reminder:  Graduate students must be accepted into the graduate studies program to qualify.
