State Education Certification

To complete a South Dakota Indian Studies certification you must submit your college transcript to the state for approval.

Individuals seeking state certification by enrolling in the ED 303E Indian Studies course need to submit college transcripts showing your degree awarded and complete the online application.

Email documents to registrar@olc.edu in the Registrar's Office at once you have completed the online application and state in your email that you wish to enroll in the ED 303E course for professional development as a non-degree seeking student.

Cost

The cost of tuition for tribal members is $84.00 a credit hour and $103.00 per credit hour for non-Indian students.

The total cost due by the third week of classes for tribal members including fees is $360.00 and $417.00 for non-Indian students. For payment information and invoices, please contact Dawn Moves Camp in student accounts.

*Summer tuition is $320 and $377 respectively, less $40 registration fee.

Required Books:

The total cost of books, if ordered through the OLC Braveheart Bookstore, is $39.90. Required books include "American Indian Stories", Zintkalal-Sa for $14.95 and "Teaching Indigenous Students", Reyhner (2015) for $24.95.
